Lamy - No Design Writes Better...

Artus Füllhaltergesellschaft Kaufmann and Company Products & Info

The Artus Company in Heidelberg, Germany was purchased by C. Josef Lamy a couple of years after the conclusion of World War II in Europe. Almost immediately, they began producing various synthetic plastic (as opposed to natural resins used by other companies at the time) writing instruments. C. J. Lamy continued producing Artus branded writing instruments well into the 1960's and even 1970's.

Generally, there were different series or model families of writing instruments released at different times. Some of the series produced by Artus were Ballit, Rekord, Perfect, Platorid, and several others. These individual series listed below, contained seperate models within each one. For instance, within the series Ballit, there are several models like the 40, 41 or 42. This list below is not comprehensive and unfortunately does not include every model that was produced, we are currently unsure of many of the models and the production dates of both each series and their available models:

Several photographs and much more details are forthcoming.
